I am a rising senior from New York, and I am looking to attend school in the U.K. While my GPA is less then stellar (un-weighted is an 86 / 3.0, weighted is 96 / 4.0), but I have relatively good test scores:
SAT I: CR-800, M-680, Wr-650
SAT II: Lit-710, Physics- 740, U.S. History- 760.
A.P.s, : 3,3,4,5,5

I am looking to apply to a few schools in London. Can anyone give me some suggestions considering these scores? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don’t know too much about your scores, I can tell you about London universities though. Outside LSE, UCL, Imperial and Kings college, I would not consider studying in London. Those are all top universities though, so if your grades aren’t at least considered “good”, I’m not sure you would get an offer.

If you could say what course you plan on studying I could give you better advice.

Same with Maxyend. Although if i were you i would stick to the US, the education here is top class and IMO much better in the UK (i’m an international studying in the UK).

The only UK unis i would consider going over a top US school (Upenn, lower ivies etc.) are Oxford, Cambridge, LSE and Imperial.

but it really depends on what subject you are going for

What is your intended major ? The best school in London for law and applied social sciences (economics, sociology, political science, cultural anthropology) is LSE, but I am afraid your grades are too low for a competitive application. For LSE economics or law, you would need at least 5,5,5,5,5 in your AP exams including Calculus BC for economics specifically.

Imperial College on the other hand is London’s best school for engineering, medicine, mathematics, computer science and natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology). However, I am not sure you could get in. For Imperial engineering for example, you’d probably need 5,5,5 in your APs, including Calculus BC and Physics C (Mechanics and E/M), and much higher SAT-M and SAT-II scores.
