Since you used “Admissions” in the title of this thread, please understand that it needs to lie dormant until the very end of January when priority admissions are released. FYI, there are no rolling admissions at Maryland - priority decisions come all on the same day by February 1st, which typically is the last week in January but NEVER before the end of January. Any discussions should be held on a separate thread and identified as such. Hang in there, and best of luck to everyone applying.

Reflection
Strengths: i thought my essay was pretty strong along with short answer.
Weaknesses: definitely my gpa and sat.
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I feel that they took the time to read into everything I was doing.
I didn’t get my major however, which is fine. That probably means I was just barely accepted thankfully.
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: accepted to umbc deferred from uva

I was super anxious for my letter, now that I’ve gotten accepted it feels like a huge weight has gotten off my shoulders.

UMD has EA, but they call it a Priority Deadline.
