I was planning to apply to U-Mich Ann Arbor as a finance major. Although US NEWS ranks them third for undergaduate finance, it is not listed in the majors offered on their college board profile. Does anyone know if finance is a major they offer?
Also, I have also heard it is not a direct entry program. You get in and you have to apply to the business school after a year or two. Does anyone know what kind of things they look at, is it worth taking a risk, and do they reject a lot of people?
Thanks

I think you can "concentrate" in finance, but the undergrad degrees offered by the business school are a BBA and a BAcc. No actual degree in finance, as I understand it.

It's pretty competitive. Next year, for the first time, they will allow freshman applicants to U-M also apply to Ross. A select few will be
"guaranteed" admission to Ross their Sophomore year. They'll enter as LSA students, as do most aspiring Ross students, but unlike their classmates they won't have to apply for a spot in Ross for sophomore year. Most students will go through the old process, which is as you describe (you apply after a year at Michigan).
