Hi All,
I am currently a final year med student in my country. I’m looking for an online master degree and now UMich(Applied Data Science), as well as UISC(Computer Science in Data Science), are in my list.
For me, financial issue, GPA, or prerequisite courses are not at first consideration.
I want to focus on machine learning and statistic analysis, and try to process medical data by them (not bioinformatics but may include).
I prefer the curriculum of UISC since they have more ML courses. But the biggest problem is that the recommendation suggests having experience upon JAVA/C++(while I’m a total python/R user). The courses of UMich is python-based, but its curriculum also includes NLP, recommender systems, social media analytics, which I’m not sure I could apply on medicine (at least in my field).
Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
