U Mich vs Notre Dame Business

Hey, so I’ve been accepted to Notre Dame and will most likely be accepted to U Mich, both for finance. Unfortunately, I’m not entirely sure how their business schools measure up…

I’m looking for a school that has good IB placement and an international reputation. Also, ideally I’d like to have a good party scene. Cost is not a factor.

Thanks for any input you have

Have you already been accepted into Michigan and are waiting to hear from Ross? Or you have not yet been accepted into Michigan?

Michigan over Mendoza for IB and also for international reputation. Ann Arbor way over South Bend!

Ann Arbor sure beats South Bend. And UM has a lot more going for it than ND. But that I mean more diverse, more, more eclectic mix of students, more resources etc.

Just by looking at endowment vs student population it seems like Notre Dame students have far more resources. But yeah Notre Dame doesn’t have much diversity going…

@NHB123 Why ask for comments and then disregard it? In any event, I’d visit UM and ND and make up your own mind regarding resources. Endowment per capita isn’t a good way of determining which university has the better resources. Compare the holdings an size of their respective libraries. The qualifications and research accomplishments of their faculty. The medical school (or lack thereof). The nationally ranked law schools. I’m not deprecating ND but there really is no comparison in terms of facilities and resources.

Have you even been admitted to Mich? You had not as of 3/30, and you may not be at all at this late date!

I had been in contact with a sports coach who had informed me that he could most likely get me in, I received my acceptance letter yesterday…

Congratulations NHB. In your case, shouldn’t you choose the athletic program that suits you better? Ross and Mendoza are both excellent, but unless you are preadmitted to Ross, Mendoza is a safer bet, especially considering the time commitment required for the sports team you will be representing. If you are preadmitted to Ross, then go for fit.
