U Michigan - Ann Arbor Chances

Hello! I am an international student. I’m planning on applying to U Michigan - Ann Arbor. I was wondering how competitive the admissions there are and if I have a chance. I attend a VERY competitive school who’ve had acceptances to all ivy league schools, MIT, Stanford, UVA, etc etc. I have a very competitive unweighted , very active in my school life with clubs and other organizations, possess work experiences as well as volunteering and my exit exam grades are superb.

Is there anything I need to do to be considered at UMich? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance

If you have a 3.9+ UW GPA or the equivalent, 34/2300/1500+, and have activities you are really engaged in and shoe leadership in, I bet you get in. Make sure you know that the SAT/ACT with essay is required and some schools require subject tests (but idk how that shapes out for international students). You can also go EA if you want that little competitive edge.

oh thanks much!

Unlike the poster above, I believe there is no real formula. the university wants a strong class academically, and wants kids that can contribute to the environment. you’ve done what you can, have awesome supplements and hope for an acceptance letter!!

thank you!
