What are my odds of being accepted into Chicago’s financial math program?

Very long indeed, with a combined GPA of 3.1.

Hmm I will be entering UChicago undergrad soon as a math w/ specialization in econ major. I guess I don't have much say on chances, but I always thought the quality of the education you receive in mathematics is the most important factor in financial mathematics.

Having said that, perhaps your 3.7 in math will overshadow the 2.5 in econ a bit? Of course it depends on the specific courses themselves to I would think. Anyways do you really want to go into finance right now? :P

What is your GRE score for the mathematics subject test?

GRE: 680 verbal, 780 quant. Is the subject test required?

Yes, it is required.
