U of Cincinnati architectural beauty award

<p>Forbes named University of Cincinnati one of the 14 "most beautiful" campuses, in company with Yale, Princeton, Oxford, and Bologna.</p>

<p>I know a lot of building/rebuilding has been going on in the past few years, but this is really incredible!</p>

<p>And here’s the description…</p>

<p>“Architecture students at UC (established in 1870) need only step outside the classroom to observe some of the more cunning modern architecture of their day. Kevin Lippert, publisher of the Princeton Architectural Press, says the school has positioned itself for the 21st century with a wholly renovated campus. Its master plan showcases major architectural works by Michael Graves, Peter Eisenman and Frank Gehry, among others.”</p>

<p>Not that big names on buildings translates to “beauty” mind you, but it’s a wonderful award. :)</p>

<p>Btw, the founding date is 1819. It was a municipal college until 1870, when it became a University.</p>
