U of Hawaii at Manoa?

anyone have insights or firsthand knowledge?
not in alphabetical listings
Thanks!

It's a really easy to college to get into, apparently.

It's a beautiful place...mostly modern architecture but with amazing landscaping. Majority of students are Asian and Pacific Islanders. It's not tough to get into, and it's academically solid. They have a lot of programs that make the most of their location...so in the departments like philosophy, political science, business, and history they will probably have more classes focusing on Asia than at other comparable universities. It's easlily the best college in Hawaii, for what that's worth. Their football games are a huge deal. They usually play their games Saturday nights, and there is a monster tailgating scene at the stadium starting in the early morning. When I lived there a while ago, they could sell beer at the games because the stadium wasn't on the campus or owned by the college.

how do you start a thread in the alpha listing? That's the logical home for all this good info...
D is interested in their marine bio program. The football thing isn't huge w/ her, other than a social outlet...she's just an ocean-loving Pisces. Her stats are above their averages, but if she really wants marine bio that limits her choices
thx again
sleepless in SOCal!!

If i'm not wrong UCSD has a top bio program.....
