I am interested in attending the u of I business school. I am in state and my brother currently attends u of I
I am a jr (white male) at a average highschool in state.
I have a 4.5 gpa and am ranked 6 out of 391
Act is a 25
I am a member of nhs, stem club, and school newspaper
I am captain of both varsity soccer and varsity volleyball all 4 years , also a varsity swimmer 2 years
I am a member of cross countries a group in which we raised 50,000$. this summer I go to Bolivia and build a hospital for 2 weeks

U of I is my number one choice however I feel my act my be holding me back

Yes, take the ACT again. Prep courses can be helpful. I don’t think UIUC puts as much weight on activities and instead considers heavily ACT/Rank/GPA. Also, formerly visit the school - the Admissions office notices if someone does (or does not) formally takes a tour of campus and if you’re on the bubble, the visit will help your case.
