What do you guys/girls think about my chances for UIUC Mechanical Engineering and for Madison Mechanical Engineering? Also, if there is anything else you would like to know, please state so.

Your GPA is a little bit low particularly for engineering at UIUC (or Madison). Your ACT score may be fine for UIUC as you are in state, it may be low for Madison. If you can bring up your ACT a couple points (particularly your Math score), you will have a better chance. As of now, you may be high match for UIUC and low reach for Madison.

Your ACT is a bit low for UIUC Engineering, but it sounds like you have a good plan. I don’t think UIUC has an ED program. Good luck, from a UIUC alum.

They don’t have ED, to start, they do have EA, which is different, I agree that your GPA is a little low, especially since your weighted is also low, my guess is that you took several non honors or Non ap courses (both types of classes colleges want to see). UIUC engineering usually want a 32 ACT math score, so you’re low there. For the non engineering or business schools youd be fine, I say low to moderate reach for engineering.

Thanks. My first 2 years of highschool had only 2 honor classes. My junior year had all honors and like I stated before, I had a 4.2 gpa junior year as well.

Does that look good or bad becuae I didnt challenge myself freshman and sophomore year?
