<p>You should be fine getting into Michigan, I’m assuming you’re applying general admission, yes? Then you shouldn’t have much trouble. Wash U is a bit more of a quandary, you do have reasonable ECs and that legacy will always help you, but your ACT is low (32+ should cover it) and your GPA is something of an issue. Play up your strong points, write excellent essays, and hope for the best. If you have such an excellent relationship with your counselor you might want to ask him to write as to your academic ability or explain why your GPA isn’t that high. Other than that, you can pretty much rely on getting into michigan and hope for the best on Wash U. If your dad has friends who still work there or are involved with it, you might want to ask him to contact them for you. Exploit your resources.</p>
