<p>Sorry guys, but I am a bit confused about which GPA UM looks at. I believe they do not recalculate any more, so do they look at grades in general and weighted GPA (that appears on the transcript)? </p>
<p>I'm in my junior year and I have about a 3.82 W and a 3.62 UW (at my school we really can't take honors until sophomore year and aps till jr year) and that's from a rigorous private school. Any advice on what to shoot for (also HS is OOS). Thanks!</p>

<p>They used to do a recalculation based on academic classes in 10th and 11th. Last year they started using a 4.0 UW scale from 9th-11th. I believe that includes all classes, not just academic subject areas.</p>
<p>Now they look at the uw gpa that is reported on your transcript.</p>
