U of M vs Notre Dame

I am having trouble deciding which university to attend. I've gained admission to both U of M and Notre Dame, and with a scholarship to ND, they are roughly the same price. My major is still undecided although I am thinking of biomedical engineering. I LOVE ND's campus and academics, but its farther away than U of M. U of M on the other hand has the same great academics, is closer and some of my friends are attending. What are your opinions? Please, help!

So the only thing in ND’s favor is the campus? Have do you like South Bend?

I come from a small town so South Bend isn’t so small to me  I do like the city although it’s not Ann Arbor. Academically, I feel like ND and U of M are the same. Since I’m pretty unsure of my major it’s hard for me to compare programs.

Although Notre Dame is an excellent university, in Engineering, it is not the same as Michigan. Still, Notre Dame is respectable in Engineering and since they cost the same, go with your gut, which seems to be saying Notre Dame.
