U of Miami HPME program chances for solid applicant with 1420 CR+Math score

<p>I have everything almost perfect except for the SAT scores (1420). I scored a 590 in Writing bringing the grand total to 2010. I am so upset with my first SAT scores. It is not the worst, but it could have been better. I am retaking the March SAT anyways. </p>

<p>Univ of Miami requires 1400 in CR and Math for the HPME applicants. I am little above that. I am sure that I can get an interview with this score and other solid credentials. But I am concerned about securing a spot along with any financial aid etc.</p>

<p>What are the other places that I can consider applying if my SAT scores does not improve much at all in March 2010 attempt? Any</p>

<p>Make sure to spend time preparing for test and take it again. The same goes for ACT. Prepare and take it. Some kids have better ACT luck than SAT. But preparation is a key.</p>
