U of Michigan vs. CMU

Which one do you choose and why? As an international student, we have to pay almost same tuition for both school, (over $40,000-).

I am interesting in engineering and also considering double major may be in business or kind of financial engineering.

Your opinions PLEASE!!

I am hoping someone could give me a bit of an insight to the pros and cons of each school, and hopefully I can choose right place for me.
anyone? PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE~~~~~~~~~~~

I am interesting in Economics.

I have the SAME problem!!! International student .... engineering ... but which college?

From what I've gathered, both are pretty much equal as far as academics goes ..... however, since CMU is smaller, it can be considered to be more selective and possibly more prestigious; also, CMUs smaller class size supposedly ensures that students get more 'personal attention'. As far as campus life goes, however, CMU hasn't been given as many thumbs up as Michigan has.

I'm presently leaning more towards Michigan, though I change my opinion by the day!!

Its a tough one ... but the GREAT factor on our sides is that BOTH are wonderful universities and either way, you won't go wrong ... I guess its a matter of one being an 89 and the other being a 91 - problem is, which is which??
