Bumppppppppppppppp

I assume you do not live in Virginia, correct? If that is the case, Virginia = high reach (less than 10%) as almost everyone they take (93%) is in the Top 10% and your SAT is also very low for OOS.

As for UR, are you thinking about applying ED there? If RD, I think less than 50/50 as SATs still 100 points below median. Class rank ok, especially coming from a top school and ECs look quite good and help to compensate for your SAT (if you can retake in December I would suggest doing so). If ED much better chance, probably low match (50 to 66%).

I don’t live in Virginia and you don’t think top 15 is good enough to qualify coming from such high school? Will my GPA help because I believe it is decent for UVa?? And yeah my SAT scores are slacking and I woul retake but I have subject tests then :/

Any other opinions???

Bump bump bump

Last bump please some help!!!

Nope, live in NOVA and UVA OOS about like Penn, Dartmouth (ie very hard). Your numbers are solid for many universities and colleges but for UVA your numbers just do not match up even if in-state. U of R = low reach (50/50) due to SATs, although grades/rank solid there and terrific interview will help. Hate to obsess about SATs because I do not believe they track academic merit that well and are certainly not IQ tests. But unfortunately colleges focus a lot on them (especially below their 25% median) even if “holistic.”

If you like UVA, have you thought about another U of R, University of Richmond? Your numbers are borderline there due to SATs, but my guess is you would have 50/50 shot there. It is a beautiful liberal arts college, very solid academically, with lots of FA. In my view, other than W&M (numbers not close there either OOS) it is the next best thing in VA. Good luck!

Oh ok I inderstand thanks for the help the only other thing I can ask is that you don’t think that having decent Reading and Math (Writing is terrible I know) will be decent right? Because my reading is definitely a fit for Rochester and Math is ok but writing is rough. The only thing I can say is that Rochester said they do not focus heavily on SAT becasue they don’t feel it is a true reflection. However for UVA I agree Muckdogs I think I’m to short but no worries. Thanks so much! The only other college I have a question for is Wake Forest since they do not need SAT do you think I have a better chance on EC, Rec, Interview(went great my interviewer as I has the same last name haha), and GPA…?

Guys can you help!!
