“If you were awarded merit, you will be notified 3-5 days after you admissions notification. Your financial aid package will arrive approximately 7days after that via email.”
@cottoncandy1301 Planning on a public health related major (most likely health, behavior, and society) and a minor in spanish, with the aim to go to Physician Assistant School or Med school after graduation.
For those deferred just heard from one admission officer that those who expressed continued interest will have their applications reviewed in January/February so we should expect decisions anytime from there.
Good luck to us we wait.
Meliora!
@oscar10 I just forwarded my letter of continued interest to admit@admissions.rochester.edu since I didn’t know who handled my application. Luckily someone attended to the mail so you can do same.
One comment regarding LOCI I posted previously: in addition to documenting what UofR means to you, you should also clearly say what what you will bring with you to enrich UofR - research desire, community engagement, activism, tutoring, club involvement, chairty work, etc.
Don’t be afraid to get very specific ie.: ongoing research at the Univeristy and how you see your fit in that piece of the puzzle based on current ECs, Field of study, personality, etc.
@oscar10 need to maximize the engagement at this point (only thing you can change). LOCI, submit mid semester grades, join and review other applicants on Hive, request for information, request department specific tour(s) if possible, request second interview, call admissions speak to your RA, etc.
@Reina712 me too! Quick question, I’m in need of full aid and the merit scholarship doesn’t cover everything. Will they give enough aid to cover everything now ? What do you think?
I really hope sooo? my merit didn’t cover my need too. Fingers crossed for need. Rochester says they meet 100% need but who knows what could happen. Lets just wait and see @si890
