U of T engineering science

I’m a A Level student and have already received my AS results this January. I applied for the engineering science program already and have already waited for the decision for more than one month. I would like to ask what are my chances of getting in with straight As AS grades and also a good SAT score (higher than 1300)?

EngSci is one of the most competitive programs. Your SAT may be low. The minimum for any U of T program is 630 on each section. I would expect a successful engineering applicant to have at least a 680 in the math section. I’m not familiar with AS results.

One month is not long to wait. Most decisions come out in March/April/May. Denials come out later.

I have 740 in math but only 620 in reading.

I now feel regret sending in my SAT results which might pull my overall academic performance down. Cuz my AS grades were considered top in the school.

Will the SAT affect a lot?

@Blablablablah They don’t have to take your SAT into account. Hopefully they won’t take the English score into account at least. The math score is very good. Engineering does place a lot of weight on the supplementary application (video and written). Good luck!

Hope so. Thanks a lot. Im so worried now.

What are my chances for UTSG Engineering? I have straight A’s except english (82%) SAT score 1490, AP Calculus AB(5), AP Physics 1(4), SAT Math 2 (800), and SAT Physics (740)
