U of T EngSci vs UMich EE vs CMU EE

Hello!

I have choices between U of T Engineering Science, Michigan Electrical, and UIUC Electrical, while still waiting for EE & School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon.

I've heard that EngSci program in U of T is one of the best engineering programs and it really prepares you well as it explores many fields of engineering (Civil, EE, Computer, Biomedical, Chemical etc.) At the same time, Umich and CMU seem to be more reputable not only as engineering schools. As an undergrad level, I certainly wish not to be confined in only one engineering discipline but I am also very into things like EE, Computers and Robotics. Any suggestions for me please?

CMU beats both Umich and Toronto as far as computer science and robotics are concerned. Michigan and Toronto are probably better though in other engineering areas (like civil, mechanical, biomedical and electrical engineering).

One important point is that both Umich and Toronto are big public schools (like the universities in continental Europe), whereas CMU is a small, private school where you will probably get more individual attention. CMU is far more expensive to attend though and does not offer aid to international students.
