I'm applying to University of Toronto as a U.S. resident and Canadian citizen. My SAT Super score is 1900 and I have an expected cumulative GPA of 3.45-3.5. I want to major in animal physiology or ecology and evolutionary biology. I noticed there's no personal statement in the application for undergraduates and I think that's bad because then I can't explain why my grades are how they are. How is my GPA evaluated by the university? What are the chances of me being accepted?

Supposedly, they will look at your hs profile and see what your GPA equates to in terms of percentage and letter grades, and then they’ll go from there. Your SAT IIs are going to be very important, so you should have those wrapped up by now. Also, your 12th grade grades are the most important. We were told not even to submit the application until the first semester grades are available. If you recalculate your GPA using just 11th and 12th grades, is it any better?
