Hi! sooo... I can't decide!!! like everyone else =)

I will be a biomedical engineering/economics double major. This is pretty much set in stone; I've looked into the subjects and know that I will be able to stick with them. I also know what I want to go to medical school. Right now, my guaranteed admission to the U Pitt Medical College is pending. My question is, what would you do in my place? Duke is one of my dream schools (I was rejected from Yale, my other dream. which really is a dream now...haha), but I got a really good deal from U Pitt-Honors College, full tuition honors scholarship, 4000 more a year engineering scholarship, guaranteed admission to any engineering masters degree program, etc. I am out of state for both.

What's your financial situation? If your parents are going to be able to pay for Duke and for med school, I say follow your dream. But if you're going to be borrowing for med school...take Pitt. You don't want a double burden of debt.

Pitt. Guaranteed Masters in BioMed E will really help you with med school. However, if you waver a bit about a medical or scientific career, go to Duke.

My family is in the upper middle class... whatever that means... so I got zero financial aid and no merit aid from Duke. But it is one of my dream schools. Everyone I've asked has told me that I shouldn't turn down the scholarship to U Pitt, but I can't seem to make myself forget about Duke.

So I know Duke's BME is amazing, but Pitt's is pretty good too. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DOOOO!!!

I think I've decided on Pitt... for financial reasons. No matter how much I would love to go to Duke, I just can't handle the $50,000 a year especially because I know I want to go to medical school.
