U.S. citizenship verification and finanical aid questions

Hello everyone,

I just noticed the “To Do List” on my BroncoDirect page, and I see the U.S. citizen verification for one of then. Why is this needed? And apparently, the due date is 4/16/15, is it too late to submit my verification?

Also, I noticed that I got $0 for my financial aid part, is it because I didn’t have my U.S. citizen verification? Just wondering. Thanks.

did you put on your app that you’re not a us citizen? I’m a permanent resident from Australia but I live in CA. they’ll ask if you put something like that

I did declare myself as an U.S. citizen when I was filling the app months ago. Do they have to make sure that I am a legit U.S. citizen?

I also had a similar incident to yours. I had on my to-do list that I had to fill out a dislocated worker form. However, no one in my family is about dislocated, or unemployed, worker. I guess they made a mistake? The item’s due date, like yours, was also the April 16th but I ended up turning it in late. I still have nothing for my financial aid. I am wondering whether this is because I turned in my form late and they decided to completely revoke my financial aid. I have tried calling the financial aid office to talk about this several times but each time I called, no one answered. I emailed the financial aid director a few days ago on Thursday and have not heard back on my financial aid problem. I emailed other people within the financial aid office yesterday in hopes of hearing back from at least one of them. Is the financial aid office on a break or something? There are some students out there, such as me, which are in desperate need of help, and so far they have been neglecting us. I come from a low income, single-parent family and need all the help I could get in paying for my college expenses because what my motjer makes in a year is less than the total estimated cost of attending Cal Poly Pomona.

Is $0 in line with what the school’s NPC predicted?

@GTMplus7 I have $0 for total aid and my estimated need is $24,294

@ipwn3r456 I do believe the Citizenship verification is directly related to financial aid. On my FAFSA status page it showed that I needed to submit my C.V. I got my financial aid information a few weeks after I submitted my verification. You should call the financial aid office immediately. Although at times I’ve had to hold for a long time, I’ve always gotten through.

I end up sending it in late, and I still managed to get my financial aid about a week ago. Sorry for the late reply.
