UGA dropped 2 places for 2007. Do you think that there is (will be) a downward trend for UGA? Or will UGA be a top 20 school again next year?

In all honesty, the movement was so infinitesimal I would cautiously dismiss it as nothing more than a reconfiguration of the ranking methodology. Though it is interesting to see how UGA has not been climbing up in the rankings as much lately, I don't really put much faith in the voodoo magic of rankings. UGA remains the way it's always been- a land of opportunities where you can get an education equal to the top-ranked schools if you truly commit yourself to finding it.

Vig180, I would generally agree with your assessment. It just seems odd how UGA admissions statistics are arguably quite a bit higher than when UGA was ranked around 18 (2002, 2003). I do realize, though, that admissions statistics have relatively little bearing on the final outcome. Still, it's a bit of a psychological downer to see UGA fall out of the top 20 after remaining there for six years.

I dont really know what to say about it. I think across the board admission statistics are going way up and will probably continue to do so. I dont think UGA is worse of a school than it was 2 or 3 years ago.
