U.S. News Ranks Medical School in Top 10

<p>The Medical School is now ranked in the Top Ten by U.S. News and World Report. Last year the school was ranked #12 by U.S. News. (The last time the medical school was ranked in the top ten was by the Gourman Report years ago.)</p>

<p>Although U.S. News hasn't released the rankings yet, U.S. News spilled the beans by issuing a press release to stir interest in the rankings, listing the top 10 schools alphabetically. UChicago, of course, was one of them. Twelve schools were listed, so there were some ties. Perhaps UChicago tied for 10th. In any event, it is up twelve spots from #22 several years ago in U.S. News.</p>

<p>U.S. News surveyed programs at 149 fully accredited medical schools. In ALPHABETICAL order, here are the top 10 highest-ranked medical schools for research care:</p>

<p>There are 6 schools whose law school, business school, and medical school all rank in the top ten according to U.S. News–UChicago, Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Columbia, and Penn.</p>
