U.S. Presidential Scholars Applicants 2020

My daughter had originally planned to skip this honor/application.
Application is a lot with many other things going on right now.

But GC suggested she go for it (if could complete without too much stress)

SO…she has been working on it and is done all of the essay parts.

I have a question regrading the photo/candidate essay.

Did anyone else only use about 2/3 of the space?
Her essay is about 4,500 characters or so (7.000 limit)
She could write more but it fits the photo and is well written.

Her other answers all maxed out the space, but they were only 1,600.

Thoughts??

Where did you type seasonal? The box where it asks for the hours spent will not let me type any characters besides numbers.

Wasn’t it due on Wednesday?

Yes it was due on 2/24

I had an extension because I was not notified of my candidacy mid-early February. Can you please provide insight as to how you listed seasonal activities?

I can’t remember and I tried to log in but the website is not letting me access the application! If it lets me I’ll let you know, when is your deadline?

In a few days; since it won’t let me put it in the blank used for listing hours, do you think I could just put it in parentheses by the name of the activity?

I would think that’s fine, although you could certainly call. If there is a blank for the description I may have put it in there.

Thank you!

From a 2021 Candidate:

Do they send an email notification to all candidates whether they advance or not as Semifinalist? Do they notify their schools?

I believe they send an email to all candidates, as this is from their website: “Semifinalists and non-Semifinalists will be notified in mid-April.”

Not sure about schools though.
