“The US government requires all international students to provide proof of the ability to pay tuition and living expenses for the first academic year. Along with your application for admission, you must submit the Financial Statement of Personal or Family Support, accompanied by documentation of available funds (such as savings deposits, checking accounts, investment portfolios, or a signed bank letter verifying the ability to pay educational expenses). Documentation may also include proof of any scholarships or fellowships you have received or expect to receive.”

What?!?! Do I need to upload this during my application or can it wait until much later after (if) I’m accepted?

It is something you are supposed to supply with your application. It is not something that can wait until you are admitted because at USC, you will not be admitted unless you have the required financial information submitted. At another place, the site also says in relation to international applicants: “It is crucial for applicants to submit their financial support documents with their applications if they wish to receive notification of admission in a timely manner.” https://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/docs/12_Part2_Int_Form.pdf Since it is supplemntal material to the application, you likely have a little time after applying to get it in but you need to get it done promptly.

@drusba So just making sure, even though I’m not an international student, I still need to turn it in with my application?

Nevermind  I just read it more in depth and it’s only for international students, so it does not apply to me. Thanks!
