U Washington for CS?

A friend of mine said that UW Seattle is a really good uni for undergrad CS. What do u guys think? And what about washington university st louis and purdue?

Yes, it is good, though beware that if you are not admitted directly to the CS major as a frosh, you would face an extremely competitive admission process to the CS major later.

Yes it is considered a very strong school for CS. It has one of the top grad schools too. Only 20% of the class are admitted directly into the program as freshman. The majority of students will compete for limited slots after taking prereq classes. Read the website carefully for details.

I’d expect that Purdue has a good program, just not familiar with it. I’ve not heard of WashU and computer science, there’s one thread at least in the individual school forum.

Wait. What do u guys mean by admitted directly in the CS program? If im accepted, there is a chance im not in the program? Then wat am i in exactly?

Ok. I found it on their website. Does anyone know how generous UW is? I need quite some financial aid to attend. Plus im oos if that makes a difference. Merit aid maybe?
