<p>Does anyone happen to know if U of Alabama is affiliated with UAB (U of Alabama at Birmingham)? They seem to be different schools with different logos, websites, etc. However, I’m interested in the medical school at UAB so i was wondering if its anyway linked to U of Alabama.</p>
<p>^They’re connected in the same way that UNC Chapel Hill and UNC Charlotte are connected.</p>
<p>The two schools are different, separate schools.</p>
<p>The med school that you’re calling “UAB”, is actually called The University of Alabama School of Medicine. My son is a med student there; he went to UA for undergrad.</p>
<p>UA, UAB, UAH and the med school are all part of the UA system. </p>
<p>the med school doesn’t give priority to students from any particular Alabama school.</p>
<p>all part of the same system but very different schools…uab is about 11k undergrads in the heart of birmingham. urban campus.</p>
