I have committed to UB engineering and am very satisfied.

Who else has decided on UB as their college?
Any advice from already enrolled/graduated students for a future UB student?

I have 3 friends that I know of that have committed to UB, but I'd like to make some more!

My son starts as an electrical engineering major in the fall and my daughter is currently a junior at UB. Unfortunately this forum doesn’t seem to get as much UB student participation as the big gun colleges so I thought I’d say HI & Congratulations even though I’m a parent.

Advice? 1) Bring a warm coat and waterproof boots. Buffalo may not get as many of the big snowstorms - Noreasters & Clippers - or as much snow as Syracuse, but it has a long snow season with a little lake effect snow almost daily. 2) join a club! My daughter despaired of ever making friends at such a big school, especially as a transfer student. She joined a few clubs - including some just for fun - and now has a solid group of friends. 3) Engineering students carry a heavy courseload to get their degree in 4 years. If you don’t have AP courses under your belt (with a high enough exam score to qualify) consider taking a gen ed course or two online through the ubthissummer program to lighten the load freshman year.
