<p>I am going for undecided within engineering and am deciding between University at Buffalo and Penn State University. UB would be around 12k and Penn State would would be around 37k. Is Penn State's engineering department worth that much more than UB, would getting a job or going to a good grad school be alot easier at Penn State? I probably like Penn State a little bit more but I am not sure if it is worth the money, what do you think?</p>
<p>Hey bro im in the same boat as you, I applied to UB and got into PSU (main campus) and right now it comes down to whether I want to take out 100k of loans, compared to about 30k at UB. Im going for engineering also…</p>

It will take MANY years to pay it off.</p>
<p>PSU is better in Engineering than Buffalo, bot not good enough to make you take out six figure loans. Stick with UB. Unless you are entering a top 10 engineering school where employers gobble students up and pay them in gold, debt that high should be out of the question.</p>
