UBC acceptance chances

I was wondering what my chances were of getting into UBC. I’m a Canadian citizen, but living in the United States with a gpa of abt 3.3 unweighted and 1390 on the SAT (planning to retake it). I took so far 4 aps (AP Human Geo, AP Calc ab, AP Environmental science, and AP U.S History). Will be Taking 2 other aps my senior year (AP Econ and AP calc bc). Another question I was wondering is if I could get in, what faculties do you think would most likely accept me and would I be charged the tuition of an international student or domestic student?

I think you have an excellent chance of getting in. The faculties of Commerce (Sauder) and Engineering are the most competitive. But you apply to UBC and are given two decisions: entry into the school and entry into a particular faculty. If you get into UBC but not your chosen faculty, your in Arts. But that’s still great, and you can major in just about anything. You should look as the websites for individual faculties for guidance on admission stats.

As for tuition, you’ll pay Canadian tuition since you’re a citizen. It doesn’t matter where you live when you apply. That will save lots of money for you and your family.

Thank you so much for answering, the insight on how entry works!
