I’m currently a junior in high school in the US. I’m very interested in UBCV’s BA in Mind, Language, and Computation. I have a 3.6 weighted GPA and a 30 ACT, but I don’t see why these values would have an effect on a decision for the mind, language, and computation major since none of the course for it have anything to do with any courses offered in high school. What can I do to increase my chances of getting in?
Bump up your GPA. UBC won’t care about your weighted GPA, only your unweighted GPA. I’m guessing that a 3.6 weighted might be 3.3 unweighted.
Of course a mind, language and computation major will use things you have learned previously. Reading, writing and math will be essential.
