UBC applying as U.S. Student

I’m just wondering if admissions accept many Americans or if many Americans even apply. Also, I was wondering what a competitive gpa would be to have a chance at getting accepted and if there are any other factors that they would judge heavily in addmissions.

They actually accept a large number of American and other international students. I have a few friends who have gone to UBC, one American and one Canadian, and they said that the admissions standards were about the same for domestic or international students (price, however, is certainly different).

I’m not quite sure about how competitive admissions are for Americans, but I can tell you that I just got in. I applied on a whim, and now I’m researching the university (that’s how impulsive my application was). I’m a good student with good test scores, but I’m certainly not a Harvard-competitive applicant.
