Was anyone asked to upload first semester grades? I can’t understand if they are required…
I was accepted a couple of days ago and they never asked me for first semester grades. I would suggest emailing them or finding some way of asking them if they are required for you. Some people seem to say that they needed them, but they were never mentioned to me.
I got this on my UBC application"We have evaluated your application and due to the competitive nature of the program to which you have applied, we are not able to offer you admission at this time. We will continue to monitor your competitiveness relative to the rest of the applicant pool and any changes to your application status will be noted on the Student Service Centre on or before May 15th. You do not need to submit any additional documents or transcripts."
Is this a rejection??
@Wantanoffer Not a rejection. This is basically waitlisting.
@Wantanoffer Do you mind sharing your SAT scores and GPA?
@momcollege1 ACT 31, U/W GPA 3.9 , 5 APs (all 5s except for 1 of them)
I was accepted into Mcgill in January, did not expect a waitlist from UBC at all.
I think I got deferred to regular admission, UBC says their early admission period is late Jan to mid Feb. I’m still confused about why they evaluated my application during early admission, I applied on Jan 12, and they emailed me last friday asking for my senior yr grades. I uploaded on monday, and the decision came on the same day
I received an acceptance email a few hours ago.
All the best everyone.
@letsgotoronto when did your application went under review?
@wantanoffer this is the UBC acceptance. I submitted the application on Dec 1st and since then it had been saying “high volume of applications…please check back regularly”.
Received acceptance email today to Arts (BIE), submitted application at the very end of November and marked complete 2 weeks ago.
Wishing everyone the best!
@xpat01 did you receive word on international scholarships? If so, how long after your acceptance to the BIE? Thanks.
checked my application status today and i was declined for my first choice major in media studies, my second choice was bachelor of the arts, but it does not have a decision with it. Was wondering if this is normal and it’s still possible i can get accepted. Thanks!
Still waiting to hear on international scholarships. was told we might not be contacted if a “no.”
