UBC or McGill or UofT

Hi all, I am in need of some advice.

I am currently deciding which university to attend (UBC, McGill, or UofT). I plan on studying biochemistry in my undergraduate and going to the US for graduate school afterwards, eventually working in research. I currently live in Ontario so UBC and McGill are quite far.

Which university has the best research opportunities? Which will be the hardest in terms of maintain a 3.7+ GPA? Is grade deflation higher in one school than another? Which one is considered the most prestigious from the perspective of US school (I know prestige is a factor grad schools tend to care about in the US)?

Which one would you choose and why?

Perhaps but not to the extent that most think. Why are you so set on going to a US grad school?
Montreal is not that far from Toronto. US grad schools would likely be farther.

Both McGill and UofT have a reputation for “grade deflation” meaning that they do not give away A’s to make students feel good.
