UBC or McGill or UofT

Hi all, I am in need of some advice.

I am currently deciding which university to attend (UBC, McGill, or UofT). I plan on studying biochemistry in my undergraduate and going to the US for graduate school afterwards, eventually working in research. I currently live in Ontario so UBC and McGill are quite far.

Which university has the best research opportunities? Which will be the hardest in terms of maintain a 3.7+ GPA? Is grade deflation higher in one school than another? Which one is considered the most prestigious from the perspective of US school (I know prestige is a factor grad schools tend to care about in the US)?

Which one would you choose and why?

I would think that McGill and Toronto are quite close in terms of both how difficult it will be to maintain grades (not easy for either), and their reputation in the US (very strong for both). UBC might be the tiniest bit easier and less prestigious, but is still an academically very strong and demanding school with a very strong reputation that extends to the US and worldwide. In my experience people from outside of North America probably are most likely to have heard of McGill, but within North America all are well known.

This is a tough decision. Where do you want to go? If you live in Ontario do you know other students who have gone to Toronto?
