So I’m in grade 11 (Canadian, British Columbia student/citizen) and for a while now I’ve been seriously thinking of becoming a Pharmacist. I would really love to get into UBC to pursue this career. I’m just a little bit confused and un-informed on how to go about this. I’ve been taking and plan on taking as many science courses as possible (Chemistry 11 & 12, Biology 11 & 12 and Physics 11) as well as math courses (Principles Math 11 & 12) and I know I can pull off A’s and B’s (maybe a C+ in Math 12) in all those courses. Is that good enough or do I need to seriously improve my grades?

In addition to this, I’m not quite sure what a good plan would be for achieving this would consist of. I know I need to do one year of university/college before even applying to UBC for Pharmacy but where would I take it? My first option (which I feel doubtful about) would be to get into UBC (Vancouver campus) right away and do my first year sciences and such there. However, if I don’t get accepted I was thinking of applying at UBC (Okanogan) and taking the Pre-Pharmacy course they offer there (I think it’s one year long). If not, SFU or TRU are always an option I suppose. If I don’t get accepted into UBC right away, if I just study hard in the university that does accept me, will I have a good chance of getting accepted into UBC for Pharmacy still?

Sorry for the huge amounts of writing… basically what I want to know is:
- What kind of grades do you need to get accepted into UBC (Vancouver) for First-Year Sciences?
- If not accepted to UBC and I go to for example SFU instead for my Pre-Pharmacy, what kind of grades do I need in that first year in order to get accepted into UBC Pharmacy? How hard will it be typically?

Just tell me everything and anything you know about UBC and Pharmacy.

I know these are sort of broad but I REALLY appreciate everyone who took the time to read this and can help me out. Thank-You! Seriously.
