Hello,

As some of you might know, the UBC offers an accelerated 2-year program in Computer Science for those already holding a Bachelor's Degree. The university I currently go to, the University of Alberta, also has a similar program (known as the After Degree). Please, keep reading! I promise this isn't an advertisement :P

Anyways, I will apply to the UBC's program for Fall 2015, but I am afraid my grades aren't high enough. Due to a series of bad decisions on my part, my last year's GPA was 1.3. The UBC program says it considers the GPA of your last 30 credits (ie. 10 half year courses) but the deadline to apply is January 2015. Therefore, my question is: would they consider only my GPA from this year (Fall 2014/Winter 2015)? Or would it only take half of it (Fall 2014) and stretch back to look at my horrendous, borderline stupid 1.3 GPA?

Thanks for taking the time to read this; I really appreciate any comments and advice.

Cheers,
JY
