UBC vs utoronto ( bachelors in computer science )

I have got into both UBC and utoronto for computer science. By looking at multiple world rankings it seems like utoronto is ahead of UBC. However I cannot blindly trust the rankings and make a hasty decision.

Which university would you choose if you were in my place? And why?

And relative to the ivy league schools (and MIT,stanford etc) where do these universities stand?

( remember I'm referring to undergraduate studies )

Bump…

Even though I don’t have much clue about it but most of my friends who chose to study engineering/math/physics chose U of T over UBC as the sciences and engineering departments of U of T are much better or I guess they found them much better.

I would say U of T has a better CS department (from the world rankings).
However you can also include these factors such as research opportunities co-op facilities social scene etc to your list of factors.

Both U of T and UBC have got great global prestige. I wouldn’t say they stack up to the level of Stanford and MIT but they are very good nonetheless. Their academics is very rigorous and career opportunities after undergrad are just as good.

Thanks for the information…

Anybody with reputation info about utoronto?
