I got this email today from UC admissions:

"We have received your University of California Undergraduate Application for Admission and Scholarships. Thank you for your
interest in our campus.

In order to complete our review of your application, we need to know the grades you received in the winter 2018 term. If
those grades are available by or before March 31, 2018, please go to https://admissions.universityofcalifornia.edu/applicant
immediately to submit them. If those grades are not available until after March 31, 2018, please use our online response
form by clicking the following link as soon as the grades are available"

I got an A on my winter class and I updated my application the moment I got this email but what this this mean? I thought they only look at your Transfer Academic update for fall?

I assume you’re borderline and they want to see how you did. That’s a good sign that they’re at least asking and you got an A.
