UC Acceptance 2012 timings

Actually I received my acceptance letter to UCD in December when I applied as a freshman. It’s possible if you’re Eligible in the Local Context. My friends also did as well.

Does Anyone Know when UC irvine comes out? or when it came out last year?

The UCI admissions fb page says in april

I’m surprised UCI will put out so late for Transfers seeing how early they got Freshman started :/

^ That was only the students who were accepted into the honors program. The normal freshman decisions will be March 1st - Mid March.

I agree with ThePavin, they are like one of the first UC’s to release freshmen decisions, why do us transfers have to suffer?

Just a question, wasn’t sure if this is where to post but it does have to do with being notified. I never got like a portal login for UCLA, but i did for UCI and UCSD and also UCB. Did UCLA give out usernames? Because I don’t know how else they would notify me besides mail or email.

@Cheddar

They will e-mail you.

Alright, thanks!

@CheddarGoldfish UCLA don’t do portals.

got an email from SB saying the first admissions decisions for UCSB will be on Mar 19th if anyone is interested.

^ awesome! i hope davis hurrys up too.

UC Davis: transfer admissions will be in late APRIL.
UC Santa Barbara: transfer decisions will start on MARCH 19 & end by MAY 1.

-____________- here’s the proof.

"Thank you for your application to UC Davis for Fall Quarter 2012.
Your application has been received and is currently being reviewed by our Undergraduate Admissions staff.

We will send you an official admission decision notice and post your admission decision on MyAdmissions when it becomes available. Freshman decisions will be sent beginning in late March. Transfer decisions will be sent beginning in late April. Please be patient and permit us time to complete a thorough evaluation."

"Thank you for your application to UC Santa Barbara for the fall term 2012.

Admission decisions are due to be presented on this UCSB “application status” website during the week of March 19, 2012. A precise day and time will be listed on this website closer to that date.

The majority of freshman decisions will be released on that day. Transfer decisions will be announced starting that day, with additional decisions placed on the site as evaluations are completed. All transfer decisions will be announced by May 1."

I wouldn’t trust UCSB admissions, last year they were the only UC that was still sending out decisions two weeks past the May 1st deadline. Don’t let them fool you, the SIR date may pass before you get your decision from them. :rolleyes:

^^ haha that sux. It was my #1 school I wanted to attend but not anymore. I’m going to stay in school in SoCal for family reasons so its UCSD, UCI, or Riverside

Sweet. March 19 for UCSB. just a little over 20 more days!

The UCI calender says they will start Freshman & Transfer acceptances March 1st! Transfer notifications will not be complete until April 30th, so maybe that is where the April date came from?

^ Wow that’s so soon. 100 bucks says I’m in the last batch though.

^100 bucks says no one on this board will be informed on March 1st.

I think there is a possibility that transfers receiving Regents scholarship will get notified March 1-2, as the Freshman who did were notified Feb 1-2. So, you’re on. : D
