UC Acceptance 2012 timings

Dumb question:

HOW do we find out our admission status?

For the CSU’s, they sent an e-mail and updated the online status.

How do we find out the status of the UC’s decisions???

^ Most of the UC’s have an application portal where you can log on and check the status of your application, UCLA is the only one that doesn’t if I’m not mistaken. They should have sent you and email on how/where to create a log in username/password awhile back.

Sorry, I got lazy and didn’t put the portal links in for each campus:

Berkeley - https://students.berkeley.edu/myberkeley/myberkeleyapp.asp

UCLA - https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Decision/Login.aspx

Merced - https://my.ucmerced.edu/uPortal/Login

Santa Barbara - https://www.admissions.ucsb.edu/applicant/index.asp

Wow it sure is getting closer! I wish the best for everyone!

wow, UCLA’s mid-April decision release is much earlier than I thought. Good luck to everyone, and hopefully we all get in to our schools

thank you ms sun~ (:

Meh, the timing of these admission decisions is kinda screwy since for many of the CSU’s you have to accept admission by May 1st. Not that I’m planning on going to UCB, but cutting it so close with April 27th is pretty crazy.

jdom24 -
Are you saying that all UCSB students who will receive Regents scholarships were notified February 1 and 2? How do you know this? Would you provide a link, please? Thanks much.

whats a regents scholarship?

^for transfers, UC’s choose the top 1-2% in the transfer pool. You get a scholarship, obviously, graduate priorities around campus or something, and priority registration

@closetobroke: I was referring to the freshman that were accepted to UC Irvine on Feb 1st and 2nd. They were accepted into the honors program and most also received Regents.

I think UCSB freshman are just finding out about regents today via mail as seen here…

So if Irvine has yet to release regular freshman decisions we can assume that Mar. 1st date applies to freshman and possible regent scholars(also I believe you need a 4.0 gpa to apply and then might be selected from that pool)

Wow so much has gone on, on this thread since i last checked. Thanks Ms. Sun for posting the prospective dates.

i hope Irvine starts to roll out early to mid march as i’m getting very impatient lol

@ Pavin That’s what i think, mostly freshman early march (maybe regents transfers) to mid march then transfers after.

UC Irvine Admissions: Transfer applicants will be notified in April.

I found this on UC Irvine Admissions Facebook page.

Haha well shucks, turns out UCI wont be the first UC we’ll all be hearing back from…
Guess it’ll just have to be those 17th-19th dates :/

Yeah, we will probably hear back from UCSD before UCI.
Just a few more weeks! :)

I just got my first acceptance email from UCR.

I wasn’t expecting to get any until April. I guess it depends on the campus.

gaaaah gosh darn it hurry up every other UC,

cmmon ucr is out alreaddy!

@upandawaytoUC

Congrats in getting into Davis! :)

And idk if my friend is telling the truth because they are the only one from my whole entire school who has gotten accepted and there are many people in my school who meet the Eligiblity in the Local Context.
