Have the UCs that accepted us already seen our semester two grades?
I have a bad case of senioritis, so I wasn't expecting to get accepted into any of the UCs I applied because I failed Algebra 2, but I've already recieved a letter from UCR.

I know UCR isn't very competative.. So I am wondering if they accepted me because they based it off of 9-11 grades, or if they have seen my first semester of grade 12 and still want me..

thanks

not likely that they received your new grades. If you want to go to UCR, best send a letter with a good excuse and a plan to retake the class.

Since for most CA high schools second semester grades are not really out yet, I doubt it.

the UCs don't see any of your grades (including senior year) until you are accepted AND accept your spot in the 2010 class. they based their decision on the grades you reported.. and there they base their decision on your 10-11 grades.

when you send in the deposit and enrollment thing to the UC you choose to go to, you have to send a final transcript that includes your senior grades. then if you lied (which you didn't, but some people do), something is different then what you reported, or your senior grades are REALLY low.. then they can rescind your admission.

Thanks everyone.. I didn't mean to write "second semester grades" on my first post... I mean first semester, oops! But I got the answer I was looking for, thanks so much. =]
I've already decided that community college is the best option for me at this point, but I was just curious... I didn't think UCR was THAT desperate, haha.
