UC Admission by Exception w' CC

<p>I am planning to go to CC for fall and spring 2013-2014. I want to apply to UC this fall through admission by examination. Can I go to CC for a year without being considered a transfer to UC?</p>

<p>I want to go to UCSD, which would seem to count me as a transfer. (also, UCSD doesn’t accept lower-level transfers.) </p>

<p>I have had health issues since junior year that have marred my hs record and extracurricular participation. Prior to these, though, I had all A’s. </p>

<p>I don’t want to go to cc for 2+ years, but I don’t want to remain out of school for a year+ either. (Going back to hs is not an option.) What should I do?</p>

They are quite clear on this. Take any class at any college (other than the summer immediately after your HS graduation) and you must apply as a transfer student.</p>
