UC Admission Requirements

<p>I was looking at the UC admission requirements on the online application page, and it states that the absolute minimum GPA for admission consideration is 3.0. This is causing me considerable distress as I have completely messed around in high school and ended up with a 2.92 weighted GPA (20/20 hindsight, I know). However, I have also heard stories about students being accepted with GPA’s similar to mine, so I am somewhat confused. I know other schools have a sliding scale for GPA/SAT scores, and I would definitely be eligible if that were the case (800 CR/710 M/800 W).</p>

<p>Gpa is one avenue of admission. Another avenue of admission is high test scores. If you average ~710+ on all five tests, you would also be eligible for admission by testing alone.</p>
