My friend is on the verge of getting a D in AP Statistics and is thinking of dropping. Does anyone know how badly the UCs look down on W’s first semester senior year?

my friend got a D in AP calc first semester of senior year, stuck with it, and was accepted to UCLA and matriculated there.

do what feels right

Besides, the UC's won't see any of your senior grades until after 2nd semester. You can double check. If your friend passes next semester perhaps the D won't jeopardize admission.

i agree to do what feels right. I think it says on the UC site that if you have a D or below in a UC class or if you withdraw from a class it has to be reported. I'm not sure on this, but I think I saw it before. You should take a look at the UC admissions website. good luck; it'll work out.
