Some people have told me you have to write these essays differently than most schools. Can someone explain? I don't GET IT!

Basically there are 3 essay questions given to you, which can be found on their site. You have a total of 1000 words for these 3 essays. Berkeley suggests that you choose two essay questions, composed of 200 words each, leaving the final essay to be 600 words.

Some people have said that it's okay to split it differently, like 300, 450, and 250...but I'd stick to the suggestion given by Berkeley and sticking with the 200-200-600 word split.

And if you meant writing the essays differently context-wise..there is no clear distinction between the essays given to Berkeley or the essays given to any other school. You don't really have to write your essays differently depending on the school...most schools want a sense of your personality (since your essays are the best way to show them who you are)
