Hispanic female / CA resident

She has attended an accredited California online virtual high school, didn’t do well on her AP exams which is why she is attending the JC this fall for Bio to prove herself. Is it worth applying to all the UCs above or is it not worth the fee based on her stats? She is working with someone right now to write her 4 personal statements to they should be strong.

Thanks for any advice.

Her SAT is a little light for SD, B and SLO but, her strong GPA and essays could easily offset that. The other schools, she’ll probably be admitted to most majors.
Good luck.
