I have a 3.5 (computer science major) and qualified for tag at ucsd. I'm missing 2 prereqs on the assist.org website, one of which I am taking this semester.
So here's my dilemma, I'm thinking about dropping chem 201 because I have a C in it right now and if I continue, I will probably stay at a C, and my gpa would drop below 3.5 (yes my gpa is 3.50000). I can't take any classes during the spring because I'll be on vacation. Ultimately, my questions are, is it necessary to get all the assist.org prereqs done before transferring? I haven't taken calc 3 yet and I'm in the process of taking chem 201. Will this be an issue? Also if I were to drop, would 1 W be an issue?

well did u tag? if u did, you need to complete the preq SOMEHOW b4fore SPRING or else or tag “MAY” be decline. But that is just ur tag, you can still apply.

I tagged. I’m done with the 60 uc transferable units and igetc

You should contact the admission office. They may or may not allow an exception.

i read in another thread for ucsd, if the major ain’t impacted then you do not have to complete all the pre-reqs listed on assist.org, is this true?

Every TAG school has a minimum requirement for each major to fulfill TAG agreements. As long as you fulfill what they want you to fulfill to TAA, then that should be enough.
